We Are Here to Help... Let the Journey Begin

Pet Pig Education is strictly an educational site for new, prospective or current miniature pig, pot belly pig or even commercial breed owners. We welcome and encompass ALL pet pig owners, regardless of breed or size. We are also here as a resource for breeders, rescues and veterinary practices to refer to. We offer relevant, up to date, easy to read information on every day miniature, pot belly pig and commercial pet swine care from overall health, hoof and ear care, parasite control, skin conditions, major diseases, behavior issues and problems, training, feeding and nutrition guides, pig breed guide, USDA traveling regulations, frequently asked questions in the community, spaying and neutering, veterinarian lists, major rescues and sanctuaries, continuing education for owners, current and relevant blog topics and even emergency situations. Our content is consistently updated on a regular basis and will never become stagnant. Bookmark our home page as this is a wonderful and always free website designed as an educational tool, that you will want to always have on hand!

Our website will be constantly updated and improved. Like with anything... it is a journey not a destination. Our Mission & Goal

Picture

Our sole mission and purpose is to have a clear, easily accessible, reliable, FREE, not copy/pasted articles of other major sites work, hand written articles by an educated source, and easy to navigate platform in which to offer the public information and continuing education on pet pigs; primarily, mini pigs. Although there will always be breeders and there will also be rescues, our goal is for both to educate prospective buyers and adopters and to do thorough checks before allowing your babies to leave your premises. Our goal is for us to all learn and evolve together.

We have a utopias view of the pig world. In our eyes it starts with knowledge and understanding. Just like everything in life, we must grasp the basic fundamentals before we are expected to stand up and advance. This is true about knowledge for every animal but to us at Pet Pig Education, the pig community holds an even more valuable spot in our hearts. We cannot save the world and we aren't going to try. All we can do is offer information and continuing education to help people make better decisions about ownership and what to expect after adopting/buying. We want to help with the journey! There are a lot of myths out there about owning a pet pig since they were made famous by celebrities in the early 2000's and even before. We want to put those in their place and arm you with the proper knowledge to make an educated decision about your next pet, very possibly a mini pig. Pigs do make excellent pets! For the right people though. We want to elaborate on that and give you a clear picture of what type of person or family that may be. We also want you to be fully aware of the responsibilities you are choosing to sign up for.

"If you're not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you."
